A Year of Dates: April

For the month of April we went to Nicholas Conservatory  & Gardens in Rockford.  There was a Monarch Butterfly exhibit going on this month.  They had a part of the conservatory netted off so the butterflies could fly around freely.

We were able to catch some and look at them up close.

The rest of the conservatory was beautiful too.  They had some butterfly topiaries, a fish pond, and of course other beautiful foliage.

  1. Looks like a beautiful place to visit, Renee'. Our lilac tree was in bloom last week and we had lots and lots of butterflies (monarch, tiger and others), hummingbird moths, bumblebees and other insects visiting. It was just humming and smelled beautiful, too.
